If singing makes you smile and singing with others makes you smile more, become part of a singing Flash Mob this summer.
This project first began in March 2025 as I listened to the news regarding the latest bombings, accusations and criticisms of foreign countries, government programs/employees, elected officials, and more – and I thought:
“There seems to be so much hate and anger and fear in this world and so much of it seems to be directed at one-another. What can I do?”
And my answer was, “Remind myself and others of all we value together through music.” I have sung in a choir for many years and love music, in part because it speaks to feelings I hold most precious – love, compassion, empathy, joy and much more. Everyone treasures those feelings – everyone – and when we sing about them, we are sharing with one another. And so, the idea began. What if some people who love to sing went to a public place such as a mall and became a “Flash Mob.” There we would sing a few songs regarding peace, such as “Nothing But Peace Is Enough,” or “You Gotta Put One Foot In Front of the Other and Lead With Love.” Maybe – maybe it would remind us all that we have so much more in common than we realize and why don’t we talk about our common values, dreams and fears and learn from one-another.
Please join us to share love, dissolve hate, and address fear.
